What does it really mean to follow Jesus?
In this episode of The Rooted Way, we move beyond Christian labels, church attendance, and cultural Christianity to examine Christ’s actual call to discipleship. We talk about repentance, faith, obedience, self-denial, taking up our cross, and what it means for our lives to be genuinely shaped by Jesus.
Following Christ is not about earning salvation through good works, but neither is it simply agreeing with a set of beliefs. Saving faith produces a life that increasingly follows, trusts, and obeys the One we call Lord.
We look at passages including Luke 9:23–26, Mark 1:14–20, John 8:31–32, John 14:15, Ephesians 2:8–10, and James 1:22–25 as we ask what biblical discipleship really looks like.
