What does it actually cost a man to stop living passively and follow Jesus in obedient discipleship?
In part three of our Biblical Manhood series, we begin with Jesus’ encounter with the man at Bethesda in John 5 and ask a deeper question: Do we really want Christ to change us, or do we simply want Him to make our present lives more comfortable?
We talk about the danger of familiar brokenness, the difference between explanations and excuses, the idol of comfort, and what Jesus means when He calls His followers to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him. Salvation is entirely by grace—but the Christ who saves us also lays claim to every part of our lives.
Biblical manhood is not merely becoming stronger. It is becoming a man whose entire strength belongs to Jesus Christ.
